16 and pregnant expecting again
16 & Pregnant Season 3 star Jordan Ward is pregnant again!
Jordan and her husband, Brian, are expecting a little girl in November, Jordan’s sister (and fan favorite) Jessica Ward has confirmed.
Normally, The Ashley would be critical of a teenaged couple who managed to get pregnant not once but twice unexpectedly. However, she feels different about Jordan.
Of course, I’d have advised her to have waited to have a second child for a lot longer than she did, but I’m pretty sure she doesn’t care what I think!
In fact, she was pregnant back in March when she taped the 16 & Pregnant Reunion Special. However, MTV asked Dr. Drew not to discuss it and they didn’t. There will be no mention of it at the reunion.
Why has she kept quiet so long? According to this blog:
“Jordan has kept this quiet because she knew how disappointed people would be. Not only that but she wanted to be able to enjoy the life she created and be excited about it before having the wonderful world of tabloids rain on her parade.”
The blog also states that Jordan does not want viewers to emulate her actions.
“If there’s anything Jordan wants people to know it’s that being on birth control would have been the responsible thing to do. She was not trying to conceive but it happened and now they are welcoming a new addition to the family.” The difference between Jordan getting pregnant again and some of the other girls getting pregnant again is that not only is Jordan married to the father, but they also behave like adults– they aren’t getting into fights at school, or assaulting people or anything like that. He’s going into the Air Force to take care of his family and they are getting a house in August (according to Jessica’s Formspring.)
I think Jordan’s going to have a long, hard road ahead of her, especially after Brian leaves for basic training in June. She’s going to be doing a lot more on her own, and raising two children that are both in diapers. It’s not impossible, but it’s going to be hard, especially on a young marriage. But it can be done.
According to Jessica, Jordan’s grandmother was happy for the couple, who plans to move to California next month. The Ashley wishes the couple good luck!
Fans of the MTV show remember Jordan as the former model with the overprotective- and some might save overemotional- twin sister Jessica who was having a hard time coping with her twin's new role as a mother. Jordan and her boyfriend Brian seemed to have a loving relationship despite Jessica's jealousy issues and were actually married in January, after the show filmed.
Although it was said that producers knew of Jordan's second pregnancy during the 16 and Pregnant reunion special which was filmed in March, it was not revealed as part of the show. Adding to the challenge of being an 18 year old mother of two is the fact that Ward's husband joined the Air Force and will likely be away for a large part of his childrens' infancy.
Jordan revealed on her Facebook page that she went on birth control after giving birth to Noah but often "forgot" to take it. Critics of the show site it for the rise in teen pregnancy in many parts of the nation, including here in Pittsburgh. In a story published by WPXI in January, it was reported that the teen pregnancy rate in Allegheny County is on the rise after a decline over the past decade.
hey everyone my surgery went ok, i had a tubal pregnancy so i oy have 1 tube left :( no more baby but everything happens for a reason jus recoveryin from this huge cut… Still in lots of pain but thank u all for all the supportfrom ebony’s personal account
tubal is known as Ectopic pregnancy.
Ebony was one of my favorites from her season – she was smart and motivated, and she really loved being a mom. She and Josh got married and he joined the Air Force, so they were doing fairly well for themselves and their little family. (And if the rumor that she turned down Teen Mom is true, she’s even awesomer.) I know how awful and painful an experience that miscarriage can be, and we at Crushable wish Ebony the best during this time.
